Cylinder Mould
The Cylinder Mould is a critical component of Pressure Formers, Restricted Flow Vats and Uniflow Vats. Cylinder moulds are used to form uniform paper sheets by allowing water to drain through them. Designed so that they drain evenly across their width without turbulence or disturbing the fibres.
This cylinder is constructed from stainless steel end spiders and stainless steel intermediate spiders. There will be circular (strips) rings made of 1.5 mm thick stainless steel, and between the two rings, spacers of 9.00 mm length will be provided and fitted to the 8.0 mm tie rods. The entire assembly will be mounted on a centre hollow pipe shaft constructed from MS. Between two intermediate spiders, a stainless steel sleeve will be used to protect the MS center hollow pipe. The end journals will be of EN-8 standard.
