Centri Cleaning System

These cleaning systems remove fine, heavy, and lightweight contaminants, as well as entrained air. Furthermore, it not only provides a clean fiber material, it also reduces the wear and tear on downstream equipment due to the reduction in friction. These cleaning systems can be used in the stock preparation and approach flow systems. In order to minimize fiber loss and achieve cleaner systems, it is necessary to process rejects through two or three cleaning stages

Working Principles -

Through the inlet pipe header, pulp stock of 0.5 to 1 percent consistency is fed into the cleaners. The stock is accelerated downward by centrifugal force at the tangential inlet. Impurities with high specific gravity are forced to the outer wall of the cone. This debris then passes through the reject outlet orifice to reject the header, which is then fed to the 2nd stage of cleaning. Cleaning is carried out by raising the pulp stock upward and transferring it into the upstream system via the accept header. The bottom of the cleaners is equipped with dilution water headers and an individual discharge line for the reduction of fiber losses.

Advantage -

  • A system that efficiently removes contaminants such as sand, glass, chips, pins, etc. during the preparation of stock.
  • An effective method of removing impurities from an approach flow system, such as dirt, shives, specks, and light particles.
